I've recapped the best and worst songs. I've written about the biggest pop culture and news moments. Now I'm going to focus on me…my year in review. 2014 was wonderful. Here are the month by month highlights.
We got Millie in December but we didn't decide on her name until January. She also proved to be an excellent bird dog and even won a couple ribbons this year. I interviewed my first artists who are now making a huge name for themselves in the electronic world.
I went to Vegas for the first time for a Bachelorette party in March. I also woke up in Vegas to find I was a viral meme.
Word spread about the meme and I wound up on the radio and on local news in April. Michael and I took a cruise with a group of friends. It was so much fun we booked another one. We leave for the Caribbean on February 28th, 2015. But the real story here is that time I danced in front of everyone on the ship.
I went to Boston to visit my friend who just finished up Dental school in May. Sarah and I started a link up (that we might need to repeat in the new year). And I had a blog baby. On a sad note, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. I don't talk about it much out of respect for her privacy, but I'm happy to say she's doing very well.
I won a friendly tennis tournament (but I couldn't help being competitive about it) in June. We saw Dada Life at a Vegas style pool in Dallas and I was interviewed on a Belgium radio station.
In August we traveled to Greece: Athens, Santorini, and Crete. We rented squeaky cars and ate enough Greek salad and yogurt to last me for the rest of the year. We then went to Prague where we took shots of absinthe and walked what felt like 100 miles a day.
Sarah and I went to TomorrowWorld in Atlanta in September. Michael and I brought the #sulakids on their first beach outing in Florida.
Taylor and I started a link up, Blogtober: where we blogged every. single. day. in October. It was hard but awesome. I went to the State Fair of Texas and tried all the fried things, and then some. I also started an etsy shop and dressed up as a movie character for Halloween.
I celebrated Thanksgiving for the first time ever without my family in New Mexico in November. We hiked in the snow in Taos and shopped in Santa Fe.
December was full of parties and food. I started a new instagram for bloggers and partied the night away at Lights All Night.
Lastly, I want to say thank you. Blogging, for me, is not only a way to document my small life, but a way to connect to yours. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you reading my blog. This blog has become more than just a passion. It's a way for me to express everything I can't quite say, while reliving the things I do. So thank you for sticking around, and I'll see you in 2015!
