When I became a blogger I thought only the “big” ones got the free stuff. You know, the ones that actually do this for a living. Then when I started, I realized, oh I can get some of this stuff too.
I loved the products, the clothing, the swag, and of course, the community is a given. But what I really like are the experiences. I had no idea that blogging about my little life could bring me to do wonderful things.
Here's another reason why I'll never be a fashion blogger: I really can't dress. Oh I can shop with the best of them at Forever 21, but most days I prefer to throw on whatever, with no makeup and just go. Like on Saturday, when I went with Sarah to ShopMieux‘s event, Sip and Shop, with the unique opportunity to shop and meet other bloggers. I wore a dress that is at least 7 years old, and with the exception of some bracelets I was given as a blogger perk, I didn't accessorize.
Collecting experiences is what I crave. That's why I love to travel, go to music festivals, take the dogs for a hike, etc. But if you've been around this blog for more than a minute, you know I'm a little obsessed with music, namely the festivals. That's why I'm very excited to be invited to Euphoria Music Festival in Austin coming up in April!!
If you're looking for a great experience, I can't think of a better one than camping in Austin and hearing headliners like Zed's Dead, DVBBs, Beats Antique, Gareth Emery, and many more.
This festival has is all: music (duh), art (there will be the Allevous Art Gallery), and even Yoga classes! How more rounded could they get? But really, you can catch me raging at the stage.
If you're in the area (or even if you're not) you should join me! Get tickets here. It made the list for Top 10 EDM festivals, so basically this needs to be on your bucket list.
For more info, check out Euphoria music festival on Facebook and Twitter.
What's your favorite perk about being a blogger? (Don't say friends, that's a given, and too easy. A perk is not a person!).
