I love when people have a link for “New?! Start Here!”section. It gives you a road map of their blog.
Sometimes you find a blog and want to know their story, the one that can't fit into the about me page.
When I first started this blog (back in 2011) I had no real sense of purpose. I just blogged about whatever popped into my head. Now, it's become so much more than that. Let's take a look back in time and you can see how I morphed into the blogger I am today.
My first post. It's interesting to look at this one, since I take a completely different stance than the one I have now. My, how times have changed.
The post that really started it all. I blogged a few times before then, but once I broke my ankle, I really dedicated myself to my blog.
Blog name, changed. Thank goodness.
Once I got into my blogging groove I started to open up about my personal life a lot more. Oddly enough, people seemed to respond to that more than anything. I talked about both my sister and Dad's struggles with cancer.
My “love” story with my husband (we've been dating 11 years now!)
My first post that went “viral.” It didn't really go viral but it has received over 25,000 hits. Sometimes you have to say what you think!
No matter what, I will always ALWAYS blog about a music festival I have an affinity for: Tomorrowland. Anyone that's read this blog for any length of time knows that I'm obsessed with the largest electronic dance music festival held in Belgium every year. This post helped me realize how much I love to blog about music and travel.
I made blogging friends and ventured out into the world of sponsored posts. Getting paid to blog? Okay! I opened up about blogging and why I do it. I was even recognized, which was more exciting for me than the person who recognized me.
I tried a lot of new things. I shared my first vlog, albeit a very weird, singing side of me.I tested my hand (and failed) at beauty blogging. I interviewed my first music act.
I recently moved from Dallas to Nashville! You can find out why we moved here. Check out our new house. AND our explorations and recommendations so far in Tennessee!
I took the leap and made my blog my full time job. Now, in addition to blogging, I teach online courses to help bloggers succeed online.
I love to post about travel, my dogs, my life, my husband, and really everything IN BETWEEN. Get it?
I made the leap and moved to Germany. Here I revealed that we were moving, why we chose Heidelberg, Germany. My thoughts on moving abroad. And then, what it was like moving across the world with just two suitcases, two dogs, and nothing else lined up!
