Well, I have some news, y'all. When I started this blog almost 3 years ago, I really wasn't sure which direction it was heading. I just knew I desperately needed a place to write and share. Since then I feel like I've found a community, made real friends, discovered some successes and failures, and realized what I'm passionate about in life. The blog that you are reading is now a full-time blog. I am now…a full-time blogger! EEEK!
It feels incredibly awesome and terrifying to say this. I could 100% fail and fall on my face (or my keyboard). I could kick ass too. Who knows. I do know that it's time for me to buckle down and figure out how I'm going to really make this whole blogging thing work.
Writing this right now gives me butterflies and excitement and a little feeling that I'm going to throw up. Just a little though.
I know a lot of people look down on full-time bloggers so I want to be clear here: I have a lot of plans and some already in place for streams of income. My blog will not be my only source of income. I have multiple freelance projects, social media clients, and other opportunities on the side.
The decision was not an easy one. There were a lot of late nights and tears and doubts. But after making a full blown blogging business plan, talking to Michael for hours and hours (and my Mom) I felt like this is really what I want to be doing with my life.
I'm scared, I'm excited, I'm just ready to GO!
