What's your name?
Helene. With an e. Not Helen. Pronounced Hell – lean. It's a family name and I love it.
Where do you live?
Although I'm from the greatest state, Texas (Dallas, specifically), I moved to Heidelberg Germany to fulfill my dreams (and my husband's dream) of traveling in Europe. You can see why we decided to move here and why we picked Heidelberg here. All our travels here. We are now back in Dallas, Texas and are hitting the road traveling America via RV!
What camera do you use?
I wrote an extensive post on how we decided on camera and lenses. I have a Nikon D5600 and absolutely love it! I swear by this lens (seriously this lens will change your life!). How did you start your blog?
Funny story… I fell 20 feet rock climbing and had LOTS of time on my hands. I started the blog as a fun way to express myself and chat with others. This guide will show you exactly how to start a profitable blog, from scratch, in 15 minutes.
I've been blogging for 8 years now, full time for 5 and Michael and I have been working on the blog together now for 3 years. It's both he and mine full time job!
How did you move abroad without a visa?
I moved from Dallas to Heidelberg and it was a lengthy process, but well worth it. The visa process was difficult and I outline what happened right here. I talk about my life abroad right here.

Who are the #sulakids?
My two pups, Hugo, a doberman, and Millie, an English Springer Spaniel. They are like our children. And yes, we did bring them all the way overseas! It was not easy, but totally worth it.

Just do it. Seriously, put some time and effort into it. It's worth it. I am a full time blogger and it's been one of the best things I've ever done for myself both personally and professional. All my blogging tips here.
