Before I get into this post, I have a story. Shocking, I know. Sometimes I write sponsored posts. I really enjoy writing them because a lot of times the product is something new. Something I've never tried before. Something I maybe wouldn't try if I wasn't paid to post about it.
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about Palm Breeze. I went to my local Kroger and picked up a 6 pack of the Pineapple Mandarin Orange. I thought they were delicious. Not just half way decent, but something I would actually enjoy drinking. Apparently, Michael felt the same.
On our beach trip this past week we went to the grocery store in Florida to pick up some necessities. My parents told us all to pick out the alcohol we wanted- we could each pick out something. (I love when my parents are around and I get to act like a kid.) I was too busy as one of my little sisters was showing me the fake cheese she likes to eat (she's very healthy) when Michael turned the corner with two 6 packs of Palm Breeze.
When we got to the beach everyone wanted to try the canned alcohol spritzer. Everyone in my family is now a Palm Breeze fan. We were all a walking billboard, strutting down the beach with Palm Breeze in hand. They weren't paid to talk or drink this product, they just liked it. And I probably wouldn't have tried it without this sponsored post. So to me, that makes sponsorship totally worth it.
Okay now, to my point. Coming back from vacation is always hard. You have to readjust to waking up earlier, sitting your butt in a chair (one that's not overlooking the ocean) and focusing on tasks ahead. Like most people, I count down to things I'm looking forward to.
That's why I like to have a little mini vacay every day. Paint my nails while watching The Bachelorette. Walking around the lake. Or… having a girl's night at Blo Bar to sip on Palm Breeze and get our hair coiffed.
I got to bring my best friend and meet up with my bestie Sarah. I love getting my hair done. It just feels like such a treat, plus I can never ever get my hair to look like this.
After my stylist put the finishing touches on my do, I got a chance to meet and talk with Lauryn of The Skinny Confidential. She was so sweet and talked to me a little bit about how she stays healthy (especially while on vacation- since she just got back from Cabo). She works out while she travels, which is why she looks like this:
This was such a fun opportunity to have a little mini vacation and get to hang out with some of my favorite people.
How do you celebrate the everyday? Have you tried Palm Breeze?
