Today I’m reviewing my favorite songs of the year. There have been so many good ones it’s really hard to pick, but I narrowed down my top 10. Link up your favorite songs of 2013 and grab the button below! Remember you can have one or 100, it’s up to you. And if you want to throw in the ones you hate too, go crazy.
I don’t know what girl didn’t love this song. It was my summer jam and will easily go down as one of the best hits of 2013. Girl power.
Best Lyric: “You’re so damn hard to please, we gotta kill this switch. You’re from the 70’s, but I’m a 90’s bitch”
Ellie’s voice has an almost etheral feel. I’m entranced listening to her. Burn is a mix of her pretty voice plus an upbeat tempo that you can dance to (or sing out loud in the car). This song has everything.
Best Lyric: “When the light’s turning down, they don’t know what they heard. Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world”
Daft Punk is weird, just the way I like them. Pharrell uses his sweet vocals to really make this song a hit. It’s a funky, disco, yet somehow relevant today track.
Best Lyric: “She’s up all night for good fun. I’m up all night to get lucky”
Not just one of the biggest dance songs of the year but also topped the top 40 charts. You really can’t go wrong with any Zedd song. The Russian DJ has a way to almost make you feel like you’re in a dream with his melodies. Clarity does just that, it’s easy to listen to while making you want to belt it out.
Best Lyric: “If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love’s insanity, why are you my clarity?”
