Most people (including me) just don't have a lot of time.Time is so precious and that's why I like to make sure I have time to do the things I love, including blogging. We all know content is key, so here's a few of my favorite free resources for blogging so you can spend time on what's really important.
PicMonkey
This
photo editing tool is one of the best. I'd compare it to Photoshop.
It's easy to use and the options to edit your images and endless. I've
even wrote an entire How-To PicMonkey post. I use it on almost every single image you see on my blog.
DaFont.com
This is a great place for free fonts. Did you know that you can download fonts here and then use them in PicMonkey?! How cool is that? Bonus: Want to know what font someone's using? Check out WhatTheFont.
Hootsuite or Buffer
If you aren't using these, you're crazy. I am a Hootsuite girl, but they do practically the same thing: schedule your social media posts. I rarely tweet or Facebook my posts at the time you see the tweet or post go live. I schedule it all in advance. It's a time saver.
Google Analytics
This is the single best resource to get an in-depth look at where your blog's traffic comes from. It can be overwhelming, here's a tutorial on how to use it.
Pinterest Widget Builder
It's not just for the “pin it” button anymore. Pinterest is a wonderful traffic source for your blog- use it! They make it incredibly easy to share your content in a simple, aesthetically pleasing way. Make sure you're signed up for a business account on Pinterest and check out my top tips for utilizing Pinterest for your blog!
Evernote
This is a great way to organize thoughts, and jot down notes about blog posts or ideas. It's a seamless way to create folders and manage your workspace. There's an app for mobile phones, so you can take it with you on the go.
Unsplash
Need a pretty image for your post? Unsplash is the best. Gorgeous, completely free photos. They add 10 new ones every week. I like to go back in the archives and pick one to use for my posts from time to time.
HTML Dog
Need some beginner tips on HTML? Did you mess something up on your blog and you're totally lost? HTML Dog can help. Also check out my post on HTML Tips Every Blogger Needs to Know.
