I'm excited to finally reveal a secret Michael and I have been working on…. we are going to be on TV! Michael and I filmed an episode of House Hunters International. Our 15 minutes (or 22 minutes for the episode) of fame for HGTV's House Hunters International.
If you've been following this blog for a while you know that my mission is to live life to the fullest, see the world, and collect moments, not things. As cliche as that is, it's true. Almost exactly one year ago, Michael and I, and our two dogs (who will appear on the episode!) packed up our two suitcases and headed abroad to Heidelberg, Germany. We wanted the chance to see Europe, travel, and learn as much as we can.
I'm thrilled to announce that we get to share some of the story and our hopes and dreams on TV!
Full disclosure: before I was asked to be on the show I hadn't seen an episode of House Hunters in my life. I KNOW. I know. But now I totally get it and can see why it's such a fun show to watch. The show does a fantastic job of putting the viewer in the mover's view, allowing you to get a glimpse of the process of moving abroad.
I hope our episode will show that it is possible to move abroad: even with hardships and ups and downs. In the end, it's totally worth it. I can't wait to show you our story, explore our city, Heidelberg, along with us, and witness a key part of our move abroad: finding a place to live!

High school sweethearts Michael and Helene have decided to move to historic Heidelberg, Germany. Its central location in Europe is the perfect launching point for their international travels, which they document in their successful lifestyle and travel blog. While they agree on the city, however, Helene and Michael don't agree on the location within the city. Helene wants to find a place in the city center, but Michael wants a suburban spot with room for their two dogs.
