I love exploring a city I’m visiting and capturing its essence. Better yet, I like to take sweet Instagrams. You feel me? When I travel somewhere new, or if I want to play tourist in my own city, I like to find the hot spots to take pictures.
So I decided to list some of the best spots in Nashville to take pictures. Included are murals, restaurants, bars, and landscapes. Hope you agree. And if you’ve never been to Nashville, you might want to add these to your list. I’ve also added who to tag and the hashtags along with the pictures. Along with my Ultimate Guide to A Weekend in Nashville.
Here are the best spots in Nashville to take a picture:
“I Believe in Nashville” mural.
The best possible way to show that you’re in Nashville is to stand by this famous mural. There are multiple locations to check out the mural by DCXV Industries. Check out Marathon Music Works, Riverside Village on the side of Mitchell’s Deli, & 12 South right next to Edley’s and Draper James. #IBelieveinNashville
Since you’re near Draper James, do some shopping and check out the beautiful blue and white wall of the store! It’s owned by Reese Witherspoon and overflowing with southern charm. Tag: @DraperJames #DraperJames
Another one of DCXV Industries is on 625 Main Street in East Nashville. This rainbow wall makes any picture pop. #StayTuned
East Nashville is the hot spot. Everyone wants to live there. It’s totally hip and fun. Rep where you step with this East Nashville mural.
The best drink shot
I discovered The Flipside when I was searching for the best bloody mary in Nashville. And there was this INSANE monstrosity. It’s expensive but it’s a meal in a cup. Plus, the Flipside is an instagrammers dream location: great lighting, posh blue and white seating, and bloody marys with a side of extreme. Located on 12 South. Tag: @theflipsidenash
Import Flowers mural wall is just sunny and pretty and the perfect spot for a pic. Find it On 3636 Murphy Road in Sylvan Park. Use the hashtag: #ImportFlowers.
Thistle Stop Cafe
To continue with the flower theme, next, head to Thistle Stop Cafe. This is a volunteer built cafe where you’ll feel right at home. With coffee and food, along with a very pretty mural you can have your coffee and take a picture of it, too. Located at 5128 Charlotte Ave. Tag @thistlestopcafe #ThistleStopCafethist
Take your coffee to the next level at this swanky coffee joint. I love the font of Barista Parlor, adn there are plenty of spots to take a pic. Tag: @BaristaParlor #BaristaParlor
The Pink and White Wall
While you’re nearby Barista Parlor, head to one of my favorite places take a photo: the pink and white wall. This is outside of Beauty Supply on Gallatin Avenue.
This is a great spot with artwork, patio, tapas. So, you really can’t go wrong. Tag @littleoctopus #littleoctopus
This is one of the coolest restaurant looks. Bright neon pink with hints of green from the plants and white from the fresh outdoor seating. Bonus points, it’s next door to an ice cream place! @bajosextolounge
Hungry for more? How about a pizza mural in Hillsboro Village. This is located on 1602 21sr Ave South. Tag: @kaybobsgrill #KayBobs
You can’t forget about the music scene. Downtown has it’s fair share of murals. Willie Nelson mural is a must see. Located Downtown, 39 Almond St.
Also downtown, near the Johnny Cash Museum is the Johnny Cash Wall mural. This sepia toned mural is great for fashion photos.
There is a brand new mural (as of June 2016) downtown that reaches right up to the sky. This is put on by the Nashville Walls Project and I snapped it on my way to Broadway street on 5th street.
There is also a new mural downtown, near the Hermitage Hotel. This is put on by the Herakut Nashville Walls Street Art Project (the above photo is theirs) and has a dog that seems to peer into your eyes. I got to see them working on this.
The Dragon Mural
This super colorful mural is the perfect way to capture Nashville in all it’s glory. Located in Hillsboro Village between Posh and Pangea boutiques. #TheDragon
I love a good skyline pic. Here is Nashville’s skyline in mural form. It’s on the side of Legend’s Corner in downtown. #RoadtotheSkyline
What Lifts You
Los Angeles isn’t the only place with wings. Nashville has a gorgeous mural in The Gulch. By artist Kelsey Montague this is a great spot for a pic. Tag: @KelseyMontagueArt #WhatLiftsYou #NashvilleGulch
A very posh place for biscuits. You will find a delightful little nook with a lit up sign (my fave) and delicious biscuits. Tag: @Bisquitlovebrunch #biscuitlove

I ADORE this park. It has a wealth of information and it’s so well down. Get a history of Nashville, splash in the fountain, and get a view of the capital!
The Farmer’s Market
Right near the park you can grab a bite to eat at the many restaurants inside the Farmer’s Market. And yes, this really is a picture inside the market!
Broadway is crawling with interesting things to see and do. Step into any honky tonk for some incredible music. Home to Acme Feed and Seed, Tootsie’s, and Robert’s Western World, to name a few, and you’ll find a good time. Tag: #thenashvilleguide
John Seigentaler Pedestrian Bridge
