Throughout my life we've celebrated big things: accomplishments, birthdays, anniversaries, moving to another state… with dessert. It puts the cherry on top of your effort.
This week after moving, we celebrated the way we knew best: a little of everything. I wanted to make something that felt special but we also didn't have a clue where all our pans were, so we decided to make something easy to make, eat, and clean. Enter, the easiest strawberry shortcake recipe ever.
I went to Publix and bought Sara Lee® Frozen pound cake, Breyers® BLASTS!® Sara Lee® Strawberry Cheesecake, strawberries, and whipped cream. I thought this would make the perfect dessert, without the hassle of making something in the oven or having to heat up the house.
I started with a slice of the Sara Lee Pound cake. All of the Sara Lee Frozen Desserts are made with real, quality ingredients. Then topped it with Breyers BLASTS!® Sara Lee® Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream – made with fresh cream, sugar and milk; from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones.
I added fresh strawberries and topped it off with whipped cream. To celebrate being in Nashville for a week, Michael and I cheer'sed our spoons and ate our dessert in front of the T.V. (we're still catching up on True Detective). Bonus: it's pretty!
This is an easy dessert idea for when you need a sweet treat or frozen dessert. Now you can make the easiest strawberry shortcake ever. While supplies last, take advantage of $3.00 off any ONE (1) Sara Lee® Frozen Dessert 9.6-30 oz. and Breyers® Ice Cream 48 oz.
