Do you like my word play with Halloween and Weekend? Halloweekend? Get it. Man, I really entertain myself too much. I thought this weekend I would give you some of my favorites for Halloween. Some of these aren't typical Halloween songs, some are.
1. Michael Jackson “Thriller”
You can't have a halloween playlist without MJ. He is the king after all. The whole Thriller album is perfectly spooky enough for Halloween. Or you can just spook yourself looking at pictures of him. (Sorry- too far?)
2. Young Jeezy featuring 2 Chainz “R.I.P. I just Killed the Club”
This song is not a typical Halloween song but the title alone is perfect for Halloween. I hope you go out and kill the club tonight.
3. Skrillex “Scary Monsters and Nice Spirtes”
Skrillex is the perfect mix of creepy and electronic with this song. Definitely a spooky feel.
4. The Game “Martians Vs Goblins”
This song is not for the faint of heart or those easily offended. Definitely a scary song. If you don't like cuss words you won't like this song. But it does talk a lot about Maritans and Goblins.
5. Chris Brown “I Can Transform You”
He's talking about transforming… like into a halloween costume. I wish he would transform back into a decent human being because he's so talented. Still a Halloween esque song.
6. DeadMau5 “Ghosts and Stuff”
If you really don't have an idea for what to be for Halloween you could always put a mouse head on your head and be DeadMau5. This song title is enough to be Halloween-themed but this is great for any Halloween party.
7. Rockwell “Somebody's Watching Me”
Classic song, and perfect song for Halloween. Always makes me want to turn around and see if someone's behind me!
8. Richard Vission vs Luciano “Primitive”
If this song isn't Halloween-y then this video is. I would categorize it in the scary clown-weird department. But it's a really good song. And perfect for getting low on Halloween.
9. Avicii “Hope There's Someone”
The lyrics of this song are “There's a ghost on the horizon, when I go to bed.” But the whole song has a creepy feel. The singers voice is high and a little odd. Also this is Avicii so it's the best. (His whole album “True” is amazing. Download it.)
10. Porter Robinson”Spitfire”
I imagine this song played as you step through the entrance of a haunted house. It's cool and creepy.
Hope you have a fun time celebrating Halloween!
