1. My beanie baby collection. I thought I could save that bad boy and it would be worth millions one day. wrong.
They are selling for less that 99 cents on ebay. I even saved the little toy ones that I got from my McDonald's happy meal.
2. My dance camp. When I was in college I started a dance camp for middle schoolers.
Man, I thought this would really take off. I even debated how I would finish school with all the time I would spend on it. I didn't realize I would have to pay a large sum of money in advance to you know… reserve the area and cover insurance and liability. Dumb rules.
3. My Dating App. No, I am not kidding. My friend business partner and I meet sometimes to talk about potential ideas for things.
We wanted to get in on the app craze, so we thought of a dating app for travelers. Well, turns out a guy sitting next to us over heard our convo who worked for match.com and basically smashed our dreams by explaining how we would make this app a reality. Moving on.
4. Sell my Food Creations at the State Fair of Texas.
You may not know this but I have a VERY large obsession with the Texas State fair. I simply don't miss it. I always go at least twice if not 5-6 times. Even with a broken ankle Michael took me in a wheel chair.
Everything they sell is fried so I thought I could make up some concoction and sell it at the State Fair. First, do you know how long the waiting list is?! Also I don't own a restaurant. So the buck stops there.
5. My neon clothing line.
You guys know at this point that I love electronic music and dancing. That basically equals neon attire all the time. I had this idea that I would start small by selling customizable neon hats. After all, I had them made for my friends, it couldn't be that hard, right?
WRONG. You have to get them processed and it takes all this time. And also the idea made me bored after about 48 hours.
Let's be honest. There are like 100 more ways I thought I would make it big. I can't help it. I've always wanted to own my own business. I just haven't figured out the right idea…yet. Who knows, maybe I do have something up my sleeve after all. You'll just have to wait until I get back from Europe!
