I have a confession: sometimes I read Total Frat Move. I don't know why, but I like it. To be honest, a lot of the articles are well written, funny, and half true. I feel like I can picture these guys (I know because I went to college with them). Whenever they do something particularly “fratty” they call it a TFM, total frat move. Example:
Buying an expensive YETI to hold cheap beer. #TFM.
Glancing through the website the other night it got me thinking. And when I'm thinking, it's usually about blogging. What would be a total blog move? A #TBM, if you will. That has a nice ring to it, don't you think? So I put together a list:
Arranging and taking an artsy picture of food at a restaurant. #TBM
Scheduling a post when you know you have a busy day tomorrow. #TBM
Has more Instagram followers than real life friends. #TBM
You wake up in the middle of the night with a blog idea and can't sleep until you write in in the notes section of your phone. #TBM
Starting a link up and getting your online friends to participate. #TBM
Blogging about blogging. #TBM
Designing a new button in Picmonkey. #TBM
When you write a post and others share it. #TBM
Sponsors. #TBM
Learning the ins and outs of HTML. #TBM
Telling someone all about your stats even though they have no idea what you're talking about nor do they care. #TBM
When you don't want to do something you think: “Do it for the blog.” #TBM
Getting free swag just because. #TBM
Finding the perfect gif.
#TBM |
When you see a random spike in traffic from a post you wrote ages ago. #TBM
When you're searching for something online and your blog comes up. #TBM
Spending 2.5 hours on a blog post when I should have been working. #TBM
Getting a Starbucks drink just to take a picture of it. #TBM
Wine. #TBM
What do you think is a #TBM- Y'all, we can totally start the Total Blog Move revolution. Who's with me? What do you think is a total blog move?
