I'm gearing up for the Red River Rivalry (the football game between Texas and OU, for those that don't know) and I'm pretending to be a fan. This week I discovered a few people download my playlist and use it for working out. So this week's playlist is dedicated to those who need a little music motivation.
1. Daft Punk “Harder Better Faster”
If this song doesn't get you off your butt, I don't know what will. The lyrics alone are basically yelling at you: “GO!”
2. Kanye West “The New Workout Plan”
I used to listen to this in my room and do crunches. I can respect Kanye for being up front about it with his lyrics: workout to get what you want.
3. Sandro Silva and Quintino “Epic”
Possibly one of the best songs out there. It's been redone a few thousand times but this version is the best. It just makes you want to keep going. The beat has a great pace, perfect for a long run.
4. Rihanna “Breakin Dishes”
I don't know what it is about this song, but this tempo makes for the perfect jog. Plus it's a total girl power song. And old school Rihanna is where it's at.
5. David Guetta and Afrojack with Timbaland & Dev “I Just Wanna F”
If you don't stop mid run and dance then this might be your new jam. Despite the dirty lyrics.
6. Ke$ha and Pitbull “Timber”
I'm not going to lie, I'm not a fan of Pitbull but I'm a big Ke$ha fan. And if we could just extract the Pitbull part that'd be perfect. But this song has a good beat, perfect for an elliptical workout.
7. Zedd “Lost At Sea”
This is your cool down song. Or it could also be great for stretching. Easy to listen to, and a great song to bring it down a notch.
