Oh New Year's Eve. You bring out the best in people. Or is it the opposite? Whatever it is you do, I always love listening to what people have to say. It's the last day of the year to cram as much drinking and partying until the ball drops. Start 2015 with a fresh hangover.
We went over to Sarah's apartment where she had fancy treats and pretty decorations.
We drank champagne and then Michael and I headed to Trees, a bar in Dallas. We danced to Ishi (who blew neon bubbles on stage) and counted down to the new year. All the while I wrote down my favorite sayings I heard throughout the night:
“I love that you have a good relationship.”
“The thing is, her butt does look big.”
Guys making fun of girls “Oh my God happy new yeaaarrrrsss, love Ya.” (Blows kisses).
“It's what my friends and I did in high school and I stopped being friends with them.”
“It's not like I have an STD.”
“Why am I being penalized for my emotions?”
“I'm thinking about getting a cat.” – Michael said this to me… We've had some rats lately and he thinks a cat will help. He later followed it up with, “Not like a pet, like a feral cat.” How about no?
“I already know that 2015 is better. I'm getting lip injections.” This is also a sign that you live in Dallas, Texas.
“If you're going to throw up please take your shoes off.”
Singing: “Club going up, on a Tuesday. I don't care about the rest of the words, that song is the best thing that happened to me in 2014.”
“Kiss me again. It's important.” Me. I said this. To Michael.
Happy 2015, y'all.
