I always enjoy reading what other people are digging so I thought today I'd share some of my faves, along with my upcoming plans I'm excited about!
I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of garlic. This tutorial shows you how to peel a whole head of garlic in just seconds!
I could have used that last night while making my guacamole. My recipe? 3 avocados, 2 tomatoes diced, 1 white onion diced (I like onion), juice of 1 lime, a whole lot of cilantro, 2 tablespoons minced garlic and spicy guacamole seasoning.
This video makes my day. A video mash-up of all the great dance scenes from classic movies. I think I've seen almost every movie on here. It proves that dancing is the best part of life.
Do you like your handwriting? How about making your own font?
This mashup of R.Kelly's “Ignition” + Miguels “Do You” is my jam.
Love the sound of the rain? Go to Rain Mood (they also have an iPhone app).
My Rocksbox jewelry. Have y'all heard of Rocksbox? I'll admit, at first I was skeptical. But I'm totally hooked. It's $19 a month (with code heleneinbetweenxoxo it's half off!) and you get a box of jewelry catered to your style. Don't like it? Send it back. They will send you another box immediately. There's no waiting another month, just send it back. Love the pieces? Buy what you want at a discounted price. I bought everything from my set this time because hello, look:
I've always had a love for theater. At an early age I grew up watching musicals and going to plays with my parents. They took me to see everything. Every time “My Fair Lady” was in town we would see it.
I carried on my passion when I discovered my love of acting in Cinderella and continued theater throughout high school. There's just something about live theater that I truly enjoy. It's almost magical.
This upcoming Tuesday I'm going to see the King and I at Music Hall in Fair Park in Dallas. I've always loved this movie (I've only seen the movie version) and I'm excited to see their take on it.
I've grown up going to see Dallas Summer Musicals. Every year, my Mom and Dad would pick 2 or 3 plays for my sisters and I to see. It's such a fun tradition, and I am going to bring it back! The production of The King and I runs March 20th- April 5th and you can get your tickets here! Coming up in June is Cinderella (if you know me, you know I'll be there for that one) and Dirty Dancing at the end of June, beginning of July.
What are you loving lately?
