My mom is the mom every one wishes they had. She is cool, without being too cool. She's the type of person that you want to talk to about everything. That's why I get all of my wisdom from her. She is an infinite source of wisdom. And she's taught me a few things.
She's worked at huge magazines, been a revered college professor, and is currently commissioned to write a book. What that means is she's being paid to write a book because she's just so kick ass. It's the truth. So in addition to this. She has an incredible memory.
Her parents died when she was 18 years old and even though I never met my grandparents she's done a wonderful job of passing on their wisdom to me.
Like most people, I have my ups and downs. Whenever I do, I turn to my mom. She knows exactly how to lift me up. But something that she reminds me is to constantly reach for the stars. Aim higher. Go for your dreams, and dream bigger. The reason? Because I am somebody.
She'll list off the reasons. And she always makes me remember why I matter. That's really the best advice I can give to anyone. You are somebody. So live up to it. Chase your dreams, because you're you and you should.
