My parents have a huge black trampoline out in their backyard. In the Summer, I would slather on baby oil and lie in the sun, baking myself.
Looking back now I can't believe I did this. I mean, hello skin cancer. I have blonde hair and blue eyes, my skin and the sun don't mix as it is. But the added effects are also horrible: wrinkles, dark spots, dry skin, redness, and aging me way faster than I want to be.
I have another confession: I'm horrible about washing my makeup off. I have been bad at this for years. I attribute it to laziness. I just want to go to sleep already.
So my skin care regimen, the one I'm just now embarking on, needs to be easy. Because otherwise, it won't happen. So here's my two (yes y'all otherwise it's not going to stick with me.)
First, I'm washing my face- every night. I'm using a moisture-rich facewash that helps skin radiant. The Aveeno Positively Radiant is one I've had for years. I just don't use it as much as I should. It's a “skin brightening” cleanser since it doesn't over dry your skin.
Second I pat my skin dry and put a tiny amount of Pure Cacay Oil on my face and neck. Cacay sent me their 100% Pure Cacay Oil and at first I was skeptical: oil, for my face?! But as soon as I tried it I was a believer.
I've heard a lot of beauty bloggers talk about oil for your face, but I brushed it off, thinking there was no way this could work. But then I read on about what Cacay Oil can do for you. Here's a run down:
- Reduce wrinkles and facial blemish.
- Increase skin smoothness.
- 3 times more Retinol than Rosehip Oil.
- Twice the amount of Linoleic Acid than Argan Oil.
- 50% more Vitamin E than Argan Oil.
First, the product is all natural and it works. My skin has more elasticity and I can see my crow's feet (the lines around my eyes) soften. It's like I'm giving my face a vitamin. I also put it on the ends of my hair since it can get really dry.
My mom has this lovely, glowy skin and I'm jealous of it. I want to achieve that look of beautiful skin for as long as imaginable. So I'm getting serious about skincare. I'm not in the sun, and when I am I lather up. I am washing my face every night and I'm using Cacay Oil to see a visible difference.
