The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is here! It's my favorite time of the year to shop for Fall staple pieces and travel must haves. I've rounded up some of my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary sale looks for Fall travel. From cozy sweaters to great denim, these are the perfect pieces to take on your next trip.

Fall Outfit Ideas
I'm putting together everything I bought and own from the sale that I recommend! I love these pieces because I know I'll wear them for years and they also hold up and travel so well!
I'd describe my style as comfy with a side of cute. It HAS to be functional or I'm just not going to wear it.
Button Up Cardigan – I am obsessed with this cardigan. It's so thick and warm and comfy. I knew when I saw it online I'd scoop it up. You can wear it soooo many ways. Over a dress, skirt, leggings, even as a dress! With jeans. EVERYTHING.
Flannel // Dress // Shoes // Hat
One of my favorite NSale purchases are the flannels. Uber soft, go with everything. These run a bit oversized so I suggest going a size down or your regular size if you want it to be oversized. I love this dress because it looks great on its own with boots or you can layer it with a flannel or around your waist for an easy Fall travel outfit. These shoes are amazing. They are so comfortable and go with everything! *For shoes, size down a WHOLE size!

Longline Cardigan – I think this is so effortlessly chic and makes any outfit warm!

Zella workout dress – my top pick of the sale! It's just SO dang flattering. I wore it for 14 hours in a row in Texas (and Oklahoma) heat and it was so comfy. It love that it doesn't' have shorts under it. I throw on my own biker shorts which means I don't have to de-robe to go to the bathroom. Incredibly slimming with the pockets on the side! Comes in 3 colors. Scoop this up!
On Cloud Running Shoes – Okay I wanted to buy these shoes last year but waited and now I'm kicking myself. These literally give me a spring in my step!
Brown Dress – I adore this little brown dress! I wore it a couple ways in Scotland with a sweater and think it's just so comfy and perfect to wear for Fall. I'm in a large and I'd say it fits slightly large. I wore this super cute sweater set over the top and it looked like a skirt!

Purple Sweater – I'm obsessed with this polo sweater! The thick collar is so pretty and I love the color! It also comes in cream. I got the medium in this. I wore it inScotland paired with leggings. Jeans right here. Jeans on sale here.
Stitch Cardigan – Comes in blue or grey and it my grandpa sweater dreams come true. Chunky but not unflatteringly so!
Quilted Heels – I am very finicky about heels these are comfortable! I wore them to a formal event and survived!
Floral High Pile Fleece Jacket – this is a good, soft material. Sometimes with fleece it tends to deteriorate but this is fuzzy but functional. I love the cinched waist too!
Faux Leather Biker Jacket – Was $59, on sale for $59! Comes in cream and black. How freaking pretty is this?! Instantly elevates any outfit. The belt is removable and for faux leather it feels really good.
Leo henley – Purchased last year and still LOVE this Free People top! Comes in multiple colors and is so easy to throw on with leggings or pair with jeans.
Halogen Long Sleeve Top – I love Halogen tops – the material is thin but well made and feels so soft. Great layering shirt and comes in multiple colors. Shoes: Converse // quilted heels
Thermal Knit Top – Warning, this top is OVERSIZED. Size down one or even two. Comes in multiple colors and such a great top to throw on with leggings! Biker shorts here.
NSale Staples
These are items I've personally had for years and years and are top sellers from the Nordstrom sale.
Zella Live-In leggings, originally $59, on sale for $38.90. These are the best leggings in the WORLD. After 3 years I'm finally buying a new pair. The only reason is because I went hiking and a stick scraped my leg and I have a small hole. I wear these for lounging, working out, hiking, walking around, LIVING. They are the best. Buy 8. They are comfortable, high waist, and moisture wicking. I also wear them with sweaters and dress them up with boots.
Zella Live-In Leggings Pocket 7/8 – originally $65 on sale for $42.90. What I really REALLY love are the 7/8 pocket legging because they are a bit shorter (and I'm pretty short) AND they also have pockets. I will be buying these in every color offered.
I don't think I've taken a trip in the past 8 years that haven't included a pair of these leggings.
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings – originally $98 on sale for $64.90. So so cute for a girls night out! I've had mine for 5+ years. 3 of us above are wearing them! Also pictured is the green Patagonia high pile pullover. I've had mine in white for 7 years!

Packable Anorak Jacket – originally $99 on sale for $65.90. This features a hood, a cinched waist and you can cram this in your suitcase! This is so flattering and comes in 2 colors!
Natori Dynamic Contour Underwire Sports Bra – originally $74 on sale for $39.90. It's the most comfortable bra and very full coverage. Great for sprinting through the airport!
Smooth and Renew Bralette– Okay this is unbelievably comfy. Not super supportive, more like a weightless feeling. And only $16.90!
Treasure & Bond Rancher Hat – I love picking up a hat from the Nordstrom anniversary sale, but this color is really unique! I also really like how it sits on my head. Comfortable and cute.
