I have a secret: Facebook groups have helped me massively increase my pageviews on my blog. Why? Because Facebook groups are some of the best ways to connect with like minded individuals to help get your content seen organically. Let's face the facts: right now, many social media networks, Facebook included, are focusing on “pay to play” in order to get your content seen. Actually, the cold, hard truth is that Facebook announced that if you own a page on Facebook (aka your blog's Facebook page, your shop page, your business page) your page WILL NOT show up on your follower's news feed unless you pay to advertise or “boost” your post. Scary right? But the same isn't happening in Facebook groups!

That means when you share your posts in relevant groups you are targeting people who will be interested in reading your posts. Last year I started my Facebook group “Boost Your Blog” which of today has almost 30,000 members. I encourage sharing and engaging but I hope to be fostering a community for people to be seen and make connections. The fact is we can all learn from each other. Of course, I think there is an art to sharing in Facebook groups. You need to follow the rules, share your posts authentically, and share them in a way that gets people to CLICK on your posts.

I've compiled a list of 75 Facebook groups for bloggers and entrepreneurs to help you connect and make your search easier. Whether you'd like to promote your blog, connect with other bloggers, collaborate, find more followers, or gain a new perspective these Facebook groups will help you.

When it comes to sharing your blog, finding relevant, active Facebook groups can help you grow your blog in a meaningful way. A word of caution though follow the rules! Some groups are much more strict than others. Some groups let you only post and reply to the designated threads, such as, “share your recent travel blog post”, while others ask you not to post “follow for follow” threads. I HIGHLY suggest that you don't participate in follow for follow or like threads. This post explains in depth why this can actually hurt your engagement. Focus on sharing high quality content and give people a reason to click. Don't be spammy, follow the rules, and be part of the community.

I promise, when you do this, you can really see your blog gain more authenticity and you'll grow too.
