In case you didn’t know: I love hashtags. I love the holidays. Combine the two and I’m like a social media savant on eggnog steroids. Or something. I put together a list of the best holiday hashtags to use for bloggers (and non-bloggers alike) on Instagram or Twitter.
So, why use hashtags? Well, hashtags are an organic way to help you gain likes, followers, and be discovered on Instagram. It’s one of the best ways to get your Instagram noticed!
You can use these hashtags anytime your post has anything to do with the holidays. Including: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmakkah… or whatever you celebrate.
By no one in general.
You know, if you have one of those.
One more, that will regram your holiday photos when using their hashtags:
So there you have it. My top 10 holiday hashtags!
Also today I have a little treat! The very lovely Kristen of Everyday Grace answering a few questions. Kristen is gorgeous inside and out and I have so admired watching her blog grow. (I’m kind of obsessed with her blog design.) Let’s get to it:
Where do you see yourself (and/or your blog) in 5 years?
How did you decide on your blog name?
If you could have dinner with any blogger gal who would it be? Can I have three? 1. Helene, like hello. I feel like I actually know her in real life. I think dinner with her would be so fun and hilarious. 2. Can I add Taylor from The Daily Tay to that dinner? Talk about a fun dinner. We could all talk about our dogs over wine. Done. 3. Amber from Cupcakes and Coffee Grounds. She’s my blogging BFF. We’ve really connected via our blogs and what we believe and think about things. I would love to have dinner with her too!
When I started my blog in college it was titled “Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.” I chose that name because at that point in my life, I was a senior in college, getting ready to graduate and I had no idea where my life was heading. It seemed appropriate that the title of my blog, which detailed my life and adventures, focused on following your heart.
After college, this blog followed my journey in going to law school in Omaha, falling in love…extreme happiness, extreme loss, failing bar exams, passing bar exams, getting engaged(!!!!), moving to Denver, getting married and now here we are. I feel like I’m finally at a place in my life where I can stand still, a place my heart (& God’s grace) has taken me. Hence, the name change and the blog name.
What’s one of your favorite posts you’ve written? This post on Failure. As a blogger, I share a lot of my life, the good, the really good and the slightly bad. I conveniently leave out the parts of my life that to me are super embarrassing, really bad and things that I’m not quite ready to share with the world. This post was me, talking about the bad. It was hard for me to write and really put my fears out into the world. The best part about this post is that I realized how lucky I am to be a part of such an encouraging blogging community.
