Last night I was back in Tennessee and ready to hang out with Michael. Sometimes you miss someone even if you’re only gone for a short period of time. I’d been working a lot, he’d been working a lot and even though we both work from home now (and I’m still getting used to him being in the other room) we hadn’t had time to sit down by ourselves and have a date night.
We opted to stay in. Since I’d spent a lot of money this weekend at the bachelorette party. But we decided to make a night out of it by getting dressed up (I put on my new favorite shoes ever) and we had dinner and drinks at our house.
I wanted to make a fun cocktail, so I opened up a new bottle of Alizé Passion. It’s a delicious, premium liquor imported from France (what can be fancier than that?!). It’s infused with premium French vodka and passion fruit nectar and other natural flavors.
I opted to make the Bleu Breeze, since it’s blue (Michael’s favorite color) and it’s easy to make. Here’s the recipe:
Bleu Breeze Cocktail recipe:
You can add Alizé to your drink or you can serve it straight up over ice. It’s made in two other flavors: Red Passion (sweet, vivid passion fruit, with crisp, tart cherries) and Gold Passion (intensely flavored and aromatic juices of exoctic passion fruit). No matter what flavor you try they add a little color to your cocktails.
Luckily, for our date night, the temperature dropped and I even pulled on a sweater to enjoy the cocktails outside on our patio. We talked and drank and it was the perfect way to end the madness that was Monday. Adding in Alizé is a great way to add a little color to my almost all black (and white wardrobe) too!
Do you have a favorite cocktail? How do you do date night at home?
