My life revolves around where I’m going next. I’m always looking into where to travel and the cheapest way to do it. Flights, lodging, food, and sightseeing all add up really fast. That’s why I lean on travel rewards.
Here are my top 5 ways to earn travel rewards:
1. Use a credit card with points.
This is the best thing you can do. We can buy our flights to Asia this year just from using our credit card points. I prefer Capital One. They have double points and give you a hefty number of points when you sign up. But really any credit card that gives you travel rewards will work.
2. Look for the hidden rewards.
Sometimes cards, hotels, and airlines offer double points or even triple points when you book at certain times. Take advantage of those offers. For example, the other day my friend was flying to Vegas. He took a look at his flight and noticed that he could upgrade to first class and get double the flight miles for $46. That’s a great bargain!
4. Use Social Media
Sometimes you get bonus miles just from tweeting or signing up for various newsletters. If you download an airlines smartphone app, they might give you points as well.
5. Stay at a hotel that gives you flight points.
You get points for staying at the hotel AND points for flying- that’s a win-win. Right now at Country Inns & Suites you can stay this spring and receive double the airline rewards!
