Hangry (hunger + angry) is a real thing. That’s how I was feeling the other day. I needed to eat and I needed to eat now. Sarah and I wanted to grab some dinner, but we were in a rush. I just got out of a meeting and she was moving into a new apartment. So we decided on BJ’s Restaurant.
We needed to get in and out and I always take the longest time chatting and not looking at the menu, causing everything to take exponentially longer, therefore increasing hangriness. But then BJ’s Restaurant decided to be brilliant and came out with the BJ’s Mobile App, equipped with the Dine In Order Ahead feature. It allows you
to pre-order your food, so as soon as you arrive your order is put in. That means your food comes out quickly and we spent all our time gabbing instead of blankly staring at the menu.
In case you’re wondering, we got the nachos, which I’d never tried before and I highly recommend. Really delicious and different. My main course was my favorite standby: pizza. You really can’t go wrong. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch with leftovers to spare for Michael.
I was going to take a picture before I started eating the pizza, but I couldn’t help it.
After we stuffed ourselves it was time to pay. BJ’s Mobile App also has another handy feature: Mobile Pay.
We were able to pay on the app, using our credit card, and it has a tip calculator too! No thinking = happy Helene. Anything that makes dinner (or lunch) simple and easy works for me!
Just paying and finishing up our drinks. The low calorie mojito is what I ordered and it was almost too good to be low calorie. We skipped the pizookie, but I’m never doing that again: a warm cookie topped with ice cream. My hangry was cured and it couldn’t have been easier.
The app is available for both iPhone and Android so check out your local BJ’s Restaurant!
What do you do when you’re hangry?
